NLCC Unit Organization

Section 1: On-Board Strength

    0510 - General

      0510.1 The minimum enrollment for NLCC unit formation is 2 officers and 5 cadets: The minimum on-board strength for NLCC Training Ships is 4 officers and 15 cadets.

Section 2: Table of Allowances

    0520 - General

      0520.1 The following table prescribes Training Ship officer and cadet petty officer allowance. Normally, units may not exceed the numbers indicated for each rank/rate.

      Note: (1) Ship Leading Petty Officer (SLPO): The unit CO will select the most deserving PO1 to serve as SLPO. As the ranking cadet petty officer he of she must be exceptional, demonstrating superior leadership and training abilities. Where two or more PO1s are equally deserving, the CO may rotate incumbents, providing each the opportunity to exercise and further develop leadership skills.

Section 3: NLCC Officer Billets

    0530 - General

      0530.1 Officer billets and duties described in Chapter FIVE of NSCC Regulations apply to NLCC Training Ships. Unit COs who lack sufficient officers for all billets shall assign collateral duties, and necessary, to ensure proper unit administration.
