CHAPTER TWO Formation and Commissioning of NLCC Training Units Section 1: Procedures and Responsibilities 0210 - General 0210.1 Procedures and responsibilities for forming and commissioning NSCC units (NSCC Regulations, Chapter SEVENTEEN), except for those portions pertaining to Navy support of the NSCC, apply equally to NLCC units. 0210.2 When shortages of support facilities or adult leaders preclude formation of a NLCC Training Ship, NSCC unit Commanding Officers (COs) may form NLCC Companies as an integral part of the unit. NSCC Regulations, Chapter EIGHTEEN, outlines procedure for forming NLCC Companies. Section 2: Navy Support 0220 - General 0220.1 The Navy does not officially support the NLCC as it does the NSCC; consequently, Navy support is limited to providing training aids and facilities on a not-to-interfere basis with NSCC training. Normally, this support includes assembly spaces for lectures and drills, unclassified Navy training films, and other available training materials. |
