1. In accordance with the provisions of reference (a) and (b), an NSCC Headquarters Representative position was authorized for the year 2000. After an extensive search to fill this very important position, Captain C. T. Desmond has joined the NSCC Team as the Sea Cadets' Gulf Coast Headquarters Representative. Recently retired from the USCG after 30 years distinguished service, his career profile is at enclosure (1). 2. Effective 1 July, 2000, Captain Desmond's area of responsibility will include Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana; and at a yet to be determined date, Mississippi, Alabama, and parts of the Florida panhandle. 3. All individuals included in the distribution of this letter are requested to join NHQ in welcoming Captain Desmond aboard TEAM NSCC.
