MEMORANDUM
1. The Sea Cadet National Board of Directors, Training Committee, is tasked as follows: "Develop and monitor training programs to ensure that quality training is provided cadets. Review training curricula to ensure that training objectives are met,..." 2. The training committee has been meeting via the telephone, and at the last Navy League Meeting in Kansas City, MO. We have looked at what will be most helpful to the Corps today and expand that out as we complete these initial tasks. Currently we are initiating a review of TWT curricula and have started with the MAA courses. We want to ensure courses deliver training that compliments attainment of NSCC program goals and objectives. Our concurrent task is to provide all units with lesson plans and instructor guides for the Basic Military Requirements (BMR) and Seaman (SN) courses. 3. We do not want to spend a lot of time "re-inventing the wheel" by starting from scratch. Many units have already done the work for us. We just want to celled data, select the best or compile several into a final document, and "get it out to the field."
