Memorandum for NSCC National Officers and Director

NSCC Regional/Associate Regional Directors
NSCC/NLCC Unit Commanding Officers

Subj: Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) - 1999

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) was established to provide federal employees with the opportunity to donate through payroll deductions to charities that offer programs designed to meet human needs in our communities and nationally. It is an annual drive to raise funds for qualified organizations and the only authorized on-the-job solicitation of federal civilians and military employees at their places of work.

The Naval Sea Cadet Corps has again been approved for participation in the 1999 CFC campaign which will be conducted during the period of September through December. We have been assigned the national code number of "1001," the number which is entered on the CFC pledge card to designate contributions to the Sea Cadet Corps. In order to fully benefit from this opportunity to obtain funding for the program, the NSCC needs your help in:

  • Ensuring the widest possible dissemination of the fact that the NSCC is a participating agency, and

  • Ensuring that "all hands" know that our code number is "1001."

  • Distributing attached flyers to federal agencies with which you may have contact including active duty and reserve commands.

  • Advise federal employees that the NSCC is a drug, alcohol, and gang-free organization whose goals are to promote leadership and good citizenship. The CFC funds help defray costs for training opportunities the NSCC provides to over 4300 NSCC and NLCC cadets annually nationwide.

I have enclosed materials for your use in accomplishing the above. Please help the NSCC in this most worthwhile endeavor.

Your support and assistance in publishing this information is sincerely appreciated.
