MEMORANDUM

From: Deputy Director, U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC)
To: Distribution

Subj: NSC 24C SUBMISSIONS TO NHQ FOR ALL TRAINING 5 DAYS OR OVER

Ref: (a) Advancement and Training Manual

1. All Unit Commanding Officers are reminded of the requirement established ref (a) for submission of unit copies of NSC-24Cs written for training of 5 days or longer.

2. These records of training as arranged and coordinated locally by units are compiled and incorporated into NSCC end of year training reports and the NSCC Annual Report to Congress. All Coast Guard training is to be included as well. NSC-24Cs are very important to the program in that they are usually quite significant in number and when added to the number of orders written by NHQ clearly demonstrate the extensive scope of the NSCC training program. This record of training completed serves the NSCC extremely well when lobbying for expanded financial support and becomes your record of outstanding accomplishment with extremely limited resources, a record that we surmise is unapproachable by most other youth organizations.

3. Only copies of the NSC-24C are needed. Please target 15 September as the due date for getting your copies of NSC-24Cs to NHQ. This allows us to get them incorporated into NSCC program totals as they should be, and also ensures that your efforts are recognized. Do not resubmit if action has already been completed.
