 February 3, 1998 MEMORANDUM
1. With the closure of the Oakland Uniform depot at Alameda, CA, all West Coast uniform/equipment orders will be sent to the depot at Turlock, CA operated by LT Bravo. This will be the only official West Coast depot. This uniform depot, along with the Great Lakes and Orlando depots, will be the only NHQ authorized shops. Any other uniform shops in these regions are not authorized out-of-area services. 2. All NHQ uniform depots are under the guidance and direct supervision of NHQ. These depots work for NHQ, not the region or the field representative. All orders to these uniform shops should go through NHQ. NHQ uniform depots must make a full accounting to NHQ and follow the directions of NHQ. 3. We are indebted to the Uniform Operations at Oakland and thank LCDR Frank Machado and his crew for their many years of dedicated service to the Naval Sea Cadet Corps Uniform/Equipment Operations. Their services will be missed and we wish them well for all their "caring and sharing". 4. The new NHQ authorized uniform depot is partially up and running at Turlock, CA.
