1. Ref (a) promulgated to all Coast Guard the Coast Guard Unit Leadership Program, to include announcement of the web site for this program. That site is: HTTP://WWW.USCG.MIL/HQ/G-W/G-WT/G-WTL/UNIT 2. Ref (a) is quoted as follows: "An exciting new job aid is now available. The unit leadership program…has been posted on the web. This easy to use resource will bring leadership discussions into the work place, where most leadership skills are learned. This "cookbook" style program enables a presenter to discuss leadership issues in an informal setting with participants. The program does not require any special training of the presenter. With a few minutes of preparation time, a presenter can guide participants through the curriculum and generate valuable discussion about learning points. …the program consists of nine modules requiring anywhere form 20 minutes to three hours of time to present. For each module, the program includes simple guidelines and discussion points for the presenter…the modules include:
3. The NSCC endorses the use of this program in NSCC training. In addition to the web site given above, this leadership program is also posted on the Sea Cadet Resources Web Page at: http://resources.seacadets.org Units can download this outstanding resource directly from these web sites. 4. In administering this training program unit CO's are encouraged to draw analogies to like programs or initiatives within the Navy and other military services as well.
