NSCC INFORMATION LETTER 2 - 93

1. The NSCC National Board of Directors has named Dondero, Inc., as the sole authorized vendor of certain NSCC insignia items. Under this agreement these items may not be sold or produced by any company or person other than Dondero.

2. Use of the NSCC Insignia/logo by units for fund raising purposes has been, and will be, authorized providing the items are not listed in the Dondero/NSCC Agreement and are not, therefore, competing with Dondero for sales.

3. Authorization to use the Insignia/Logo for fund raising purposes must be granted by NHQ. Units desiring to do so must:

• Submit a written application to NHQ describing in detail how the insignia/logo is to be used i.e. Stadium Cushions, Can Huggers, Units are to ensure that all items are tasteful and do not discredit the NSCC or the U. S. Navy.
  
  
• NHQ will evaluate each application and will grant permission, if acceptable, for use of the insignia/logo. Authorization will be granted for a period of one year. Units must reapply each year for continuation.

4. Items sold for fund raising purposes are not tax deductible, unless the unit or sponsor has been designated a 501(c)(3) organization under the provisions of the Internal Revenue Service Tax Code.

5. This information letter is cancelled when incorporated into the NSCC Regulations.
