NSCC ACTION LETTER 4-97
1. After long and careful deliberation and consultation with leadership in the field, I am annoucing an increase in NSCC/NLCC annual enrollments fees of $5.00 effective 01 June 1997. This is done with reluctance, but we find it necessary in order to meet all our operating and training commitments while maintaining a balanced budget. The last increase in fees was January 1995. Since that time our medical insurance cost and operating expenses across the board have risen dramatically. Active NAVY/USCG units have less funds to operate with, therefore the NSCC must now pay for many things which used to be free of charge. 2. This increase will aloow us to move forward with our traiing program while keeping up with the increased expenses such as postal rate hikes, printing, phone bills, office automation, and other necessities. 3. Enrollments/reenrollments sent to National Headquarters postmarked after 1 June 1997 must be accompanied with enrollment fees as summarized below and outlined in Enclosure (1).
4. Reference (a) is canceled effective 1 June 1997.
