NSCC ACTION LETTER 11-95
1. Purpose. This action
letter supersedes NSCC Action Letter 7-93.
2. Discussion: Per reference (a), the Navy Education and Training Program
Management Support Activity (NETPMSA) has agreed to continue to provide logistical and
administrative support for Navy correspondence courses submitted by NSCC cadets. Providing
the procedures outlined in enclosure (1) are followed NETPMSA will ensure that orders for
courses are properly filled; answer sheets are graded; and cadets receive credit for
courses completed.
3. Action:
- Unit commanding officers should assign a Correspondence Course
Control Officer.
- The Correspondence Course Control Officer should:
- Order NAVEDTRA 1510/1 forms (sample form shown in enclosure (2)) from
the address provided in enclosure (1). You must order and send an original form. Copies of
the form will not be processed. Read instructions contained in enclosure (1) closely.
- Complete and submit the correspondence course order forms and
maintain a log to accurately account for all courses ordered.
- Monitor progress of each cadet with correspondence courses and ensure
timely submission of answer sheets (at least one per month per cadet) to NETPMSA. Cadets
failing to submit an answer sheet within eight months after enrollment, will be
automatically disenrolled from the course.
- Order only those courses listed in enclosure (3).
4. Cancellation. This action letter is
cancelled upon inclusion in the NSCC/NLCC Advancement
and Training Manual.
